Our story

Kumalane OÜ is a family company managed by a father and son team – Jaanus and Taavi Tull. We produce honey and breed Italian queen bees for our own apiary as well as for sale. We have extensive experience in beekeeping – Jaanus has been doing this since 1984 and Taavi since 2006. Today, Jaanus focuses mainly on breeding queen bees and Taavi is responsible for honey production. We’re also members of the Estonian Professional Beekeepers Union. Kumalase apiary, with its 1,600 colonies, is one of the largest honey producers in the Baltic States and Nordic countries. Our honey is sold in stores under the Meveda brand.
